Whitewater Tube Relay Race

Red vs. Blue Team Showdown | $10 per person

Participants will race down the Competition Channel in a relay-style format and stack their tubes in the finish zone. The first team to stack all their team-colored tubes in a stable formation wins ultimate bragging rights!

Additional Tube Relay Information

Secure footwear is required for this event (water shoes, sneakers, or sandals with a back strap). NO Crocs, flip flops, or slides allowed.
Participants will receive their assigned team at Race Day Check-In. We will do our best to honor team requests, but team assignments are not guaranteed.
Registration for this event does not include an Adventure Pass or Single Activity Pass and will not grant access to any activities other than the Whitewater Tube Relay.
Whitewater tubing is an active, hands-on adventure — participants should be prepared to get wet, fall out of their craft, and enjoy a wild ride. This is not a lazy river experience.

Build Your Own Boat Competition

Bring a chair and enjoy the race from the sidelines!

Participants will design, build, and navigate their custom boats through the rapids on our Competition Channel. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a first-time paddler, this event promises creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun—no experience necessary!

Additional BYOB Race Information

- Teams may consist of 1–4 people.
- Participants must be 16+ years old or in 9th grade or above with a teacher (for school group entries).
- MW will provide PFDs and helmets for all participants.
- Max dimensions: 10′ wide x 10′ long x 5′ tall
- Max weight: 150 lbs
- Boats must be human-powered only
- All materials must float
- Rope sections may be no longer than 18″ and must be securely tied against the structure
- No enclosures or closed compartments—participants must be able to exit easily and quickly
- Wood over ¼″ thick
- Metal objects, including fasteners
- PVC pipe, fiberglass, carbon fiber
- Acrylic, plexiglass, or Lexan
- Sharp objects of any kind
- Straps or devices that hold participants to the boat
- Manufactured crafts, including rafts, kayaks, tubes, SUPs, boards, etc.
- Cardboard
- Plastic storage bins & totes
- Pool noodles
- Duct tape
- Tarps & shower curtains
- 5-gallon water cooler bottles
- Spray foam insulation
- Latex primer or exterior paint
- Silicone sealant (for waterproofing)
- Milk jugs or soda bottles (sealed & empty)
- Bubble wrap
- Plastic barrels or drums (non-metal, clean)
- Boats start in the Upper Pond and attempt to travel as far as possible down the Competition Channel.
- The course has five markers, each worth 10 points.
- Boats that finish the full course automatically earn the maximum 50 points for distance traveled.
- Distance Traveled: 0–50 points (10 points per marker crossed; 50 points for a full finish).
- Style & Creativity: Up to 25 points for originality, theme, visual appeal, costumes, and fan engagement.
- Boat Engineering & Durability:> Up to 25 points for structural integrity, quality construction, and how well the boat holds together.
- Overall Champion (highest total points)
- 2nd & 3rd Place Overall
- Most Creative / Fan Favorite (determined by crowd reaction)
