Kids ages 6–12 may participate in our Lil Tri “triathlon,” where they will run, bike (BYOBike), and paddle duckies on our flatwater bottom pond to vie for the Montgomery Whitewater Lil Tri Champion title. Kids ages 6–10 will need to partner up with a parent or guardian to complete the water portion of Lil Tri. Kids ages 11+ will complete the course solo.
Lil’ Tri will be divided into multiple age groups depending on the number of registered participants. Awards will be given out to winners in each age bracket.
“Training sessions” will be available for registered participants, where athletes will be able to practice biking, running, and paddling the Lil Tri course. Details to be announced through email and social media.

SLAM Sweat Like a Mother is a comprehensive exercise program for women in all stages of motherhood and at all levels of fitness. It is also so much more than just an exercise group though. We are a community of connection, support, and friendship. Our classes combine fitness with camaraderie while offering women the opportunity to show their kids just how strong they are and what it means to be active. SLAM Montgomery provides local women with a unique, fun, and challenging total body workout. All of our classes are stroller friendly so moms can bring their littles along and get a good sweat in without arranging for childcare; however, kids are not required and you do not have to be a mom to participate. Everyone is welcome at SLAM.
Our classes incorporate cardio, strength, agility, balance, endurance, and more.
Every exercise has modifications to meet a participant wherever they are in their fitness, postpartum, or pregnancy journey. For those who are pregnant, postpartum, or new to working out, options are provided so they can feel successful, yet challenged. The same goes for our more advanced participants. Options are provided to them to make the exercises more challenging if that’s what they are seeking.
What do participants need:
Yoga Mat
Set of dumbbells (3-12 lbs)
Water
Sunscreen
Snacks (lots of snacks!) for the littles + small toys, ipad, books, etc to keep them entertained
*Children 4 and under MUST be secured in a stroller.
*Children 5 and older may sit in a chair or on a mat/blanket near their parent as long as they are able to remain in the chair or on the mat for the duration of the class.
