Down South Paddle Battle

March 27-29, 2026

The Paddle South Freestyle Tour adds a new stop to its 2026 season with the Montgomery Whitewater  Down South Paddle Battle.  Montgomery Whitewater’s Paddle Battle marks the tour’s only stop on a pumped whitewater park, creating a unique setting that is as exciting to watch as it is to compete in.

Montgomery Whitewater’s engineered waves and holes provide consistent, competition-ready features that reward precision, creativity, and progression. Athletes will take on timed freestyle surfs with judged tricks, while Boater X racers go head-to-head in fast, dynamic heats that test speed, line choice, and decision-making. Together, these formats push the limits of style, control, and amplitude across multiple disciplines.

The Paddle Battle welcomes paddlers of all ages, from first-time competitors to seasoned pros chasing series points. Whether on the water or on the banks, the event brings together the Southeast’s freestyle community in a fast-paced, high-energy format that highlights both competition and connection. Come compete, spectate, and experience freestyle kayaking and boater x, in a setting unlike anywhere else on the tour.
